For taking admission in management programmes in India, candidate can either go for CAT, CMAT or GMAT.Here we are discussing difference between CAT and CMAT.
CAT is conducted by IIMs.
CMAT is conducted by AICTE.
Apart from 13 IIMs another 100 colleges accept CAT scores.
Many colleges accept CMAT scores.
CAT has been conducted once in a year between October and November.
CMAT first paper has been conducted twice in a year.

There is negative marking in the exam, for each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted & for correct answer candidate will get Three marks will be awarded There is no penalty for questions that are left unanswered.
